When the eyes open, darkness does not negotiate its departure — it simply vanishes. Krishna tells Arjuna: once you gain this knowledge, delusion will never trouble you again. You will see every living being — without exception — first within yourself and then in Me. Separation will dissolve.

This is not an abstract philosophical claim. It is a description of a lived experience: the moment a person truly understands the unity of all existence, the old habit of seeing 'me versus them' falls away. Compassion arises naturally because the other is recognized as oneself.

Shloka 4.34 described how to seek knowledge (through humility, inquiry, and service). Here Krishna describes the result: permanent freedom from delusion and the direct experience of oneness.

The next shloka (4.36) adds extraordinary reassurance: even the worst sinner can cross over all sin through the boat of knowledge.
