Gita 10.7 Bhagavad Gita
📖 Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 10 — Vibhuti Yoga
एतां विभूतिं योगं च मम यो वेत्ति तत्त्वतः ।
सोऽविकम्पेन योगेन युज्यते नात्र संशयः ॥
Etam vibhootim yogam cha mama yo vetti tattvatah,
So'vikampena yogena yujyate natra samshayah.
एताम्
this
विभूतिम्
divine glory — magnificence
योगम् च
and yogic power
मम
My
यः वेत्ति
whoever knows
तत्त्वतः
in truth — in essence
सः
that person
अविकम्पेन
unwavering — unshakeable
योगेन युज्यते
is united in yoga
न अत्र संशयः
there is no doubt in this

An assurance, stated without qualification. Krishna says: the one who truly knows My divine glory and My yogic power becomes established in yoga — unwavering, unshakeable. Knowledge itself becomes the foundation. Where genuine understanding exists, the discipline of yoga follows on its own.

One word carries special weight here: tattvatah. Not surface knowing. Not secondhand knowing. Knowing in essence — from the inside out. Like the difference between someone who says 'I know fire is hot' and someone who has held their hand near the flame. The second person knows tattvatah. That depth of knowing is what transforms a person's inner landscape permanently.

This shloka closes the first section of Vibhuti Yoga (10.1-7). Shloka 10.1 began the chapter, and 10.7 states the fruit. From 10.8 onward, a new section begins where Krishna will enumerate specific divine manifestations.

The phrase natra samshayah (there is no doubt) appears multiple times in the Gita — always when Krishna wishes to emphasize absolute certainty. Here, the certainty is about the attainment of yoga through true knowledge.
