The previous shloka described the problem: from birth, all beings are caught in the delusion of duality. Here is the way through. Those whose accumulated sins have been worn away through righteous actions — they break free from dvandva-moha and turn to Krishna with unwavering commitment.

It is like hard, compacted soil. Water it steadily, patiently, season after season. One day, a seed finally breaks through. Virtuous action works the same way — gradually, the grip of duality loosens, and the mind naturally turns toward the divine.

'Dridha-vratah' — of firm resolve. Once the turn happens, these devotees do not waver. Their commitment is steady because it grows from inner clarity, not from emotional impulse.

Shlokas 7.27 and 7.28 together trace the arc from delusion to liberation. 7.29 and 7.30 will describe what the liberated soul comes to know — forming the closing sequence of this chapter.

The Vana Parva of the Mahabharata also teaches that tapas and virtuous action open the path to knowledge. The Gita presents punya-karma as the antidote to dvandva-moha within that same tradition.
