The yogi whose happiness is within, whose rest is within, whose light is within — that yogi, having become one with Brahman, attains brahma-nirvana.

Three times Krishna says 'within' — happiness within, rest within, light within. Those who search outside keep wandering. The one who finds all three inside needs nothing from the outside. That person is free.

This shloka uses the term 'brahma-nirvana,' which appears multiple times in the Gita. It means attaining peace through merging with Brahman. Tradition regards the rising of inner light (antar-jyoti) as the sign of atma-jnana.
