O Dhananjaya (Arjuna)

A ripe mango drops from the tree without anyone pulling it. For the person who has done three things — surrendered all actions through yoga, severed all doubt through knowledge, and become established in the self — karma simply falls away. It does not bind. It cannot hold.

This shloka is the conclusion of the chapter's teaching. Yoga, gyana, and atma-sthiti — practice, understanding, and inner steadiness — together form the complete foundation for liberation. None alone is enough. But all three together dissolve every chain.

This shloka is the counterpart to 4.40 (the doubter who perishes). Where doubt and faithlessness destroy, knowledge and yoga liberate.

The final shloka (4.42) follows as Krishna's direct call to Arjuna: rise up, take refuge in yoga, and cut the doubt that sits in your heart.
