Here is the fruit of the entire teaching. Whoever truly understands Purusha and Prakriti with its gunas — that person is never born again. It does not matter whether they are a householder or a renunciant, in a city or a forest.

The phrase 'sarvatha vartamanah' — living in any way whatsoever — is remarkable. The liberation this knowledge brings is not tied to a particular lifestyle. Understanding, not circumstance, is what sets a person free.

This verse declares the fruit of the path of knowledge: freedom from rebirth. Discriminating the soul from Prakriti — seeing the soul as distinct from material nature — is itself the gateway to moksha.

In the Gita Press edition, this is the twenty-fourth shloka. The next two verses (13.25 and 13.26) describe the various paths through which different seekers arrive at this understanding.
