Prahlada was born into a demon clan — the son of Hiranyakashipu — yet he was among the greatest devotees of Vishnu. Krishna says: among the Daityas, I am Prahlada. Even in a hostile lineage, when devotion and righteousness appear, that is the divine at work. The environment does not determine the soul.

Kala — Time — the great reckoner that counts and transforms everything. The lion — king of beasts. Garuda — Vishnu's own mount, the mightiest of birds. What these four share is pre-eminence in their category. Wherever a quality reaches its peak, the divine is visible in it.

Prahlada's story is told in detail in the seventh canto of the Bhagavata Purana. His unwavering devotion despite persecution is one of the tradition's most beloved narratives.

Garuda is described in the Vishnu Purana as Vishnu's mount and supreme devotee. His inclusion here in 10.30 as a vibhuti affirms that status.
