नमः शम्भवाय च मयोभवाय च ।
Namah shambhavaya cha mayobhavaya cha |
शम्भवाय
to the one who bestows happiness
मयोभवाय
to the one who creates joy
Salutation to Rudra who bestows happiness and who gives rise to joy.
Mantra 2
नमः शंकराय च मयस्कराय च ।
Namah shankaraaya cha mayaskaraaya cha |
शंकराय
to the one who brings about well-being
मयस्कराय
to the one who brings bliss
Salutation to Rudra who brings well-being and who grants bliss.
Mantra 3
नमः शिवाय च शिवतराय च ।
Namah shivaya cha shivataraaya cha |
शिवाय
to the auspicious one
शिवतराय
to the supremely auspicious one
Salutation to Rudra who is auspicious — and who is supremely auspicious beyond all.
Mantra 4
नमस्तीर्थ्याय च कूल्याय च ।
Namastirthyaaya cha kulyaaya cha |
तीर्थ्याय
to the one who dwells at sacred crossings
कूल्याय
to the one who dwells on river banks
Salutation to Rudra who dwells at sacred tirthas (pilgrimage crossings) and on the banks of rivers.
Mantra 5
नमः पार्याय चावार्याय च ।
Namah paryaaya chavaaryaaya cha |
पार्याय
to the one on the far bank
अवार्याय
to the one on this bank
Salutation to Rudra who is on the far bank — and also on this bank. He is present on both sides of the river.
Mantra 6
नमः प्रतरणाय चोत्तरणाय च ।
Namah prataranaya chottaranaya cha |
प्रतरणाय
to the one who takes us across
उत्तरणाय
to the one who lifts us up
Salutation to Rudra who carries us across the ocean of existence, and who lifts us upward toward liberation.

The third anuvak praises Rudra's auspicious names — Shambhu, Shankara, Shiva. It also conveys his omnipresence: he dwells at sacred tirthas, on riverbanks, on both shores. He is the one who carries devotees across.
