This is one of the Gita's sweetest verses. Krishna says: for the one who thinks of Me with undivided heart, constantly and without fail — I am easy to reach.

"Sulabhah" — what a tender word. God himself is saying: I am not difficult. I am not far away. I am not hidden behind impossible austerities. The one who remembers Me sincerely — for that person, I am sulabh, readily available. A mother is always near her child. The child simply has to call.

The condition is twofold: "ananyachetah" — the mind does not chase after other things — and "satatam" — the remembrance is continuous. Morning and evening, while working and while resting — keeping God's name alive in the heart. That is all it takes.

This shloka is the essence of the entire meditation teaching from 8.5 to 8.13. Even if one cannot master complex yogic techniques, sincere and constant remembrance is enough. The next shloka (8.15) reveals the result: such devotees never return to the cycle of birth and death — they reach God and stay with Him forever.
