Two kinds of people, two outcomes. The disciplined one gives up attachment to the fruit of action and finds a peace that does not shake — naishthiki shanti. The undisciplined one, driven by desire and clinging to results, stays trapped.

A child who studies with genuine curiosity finds joy in learning itself. A child who studies only for marks feels hollow after the exam is over. This is the difference between yukta and ayukta — between one who is centered and one who is scattered.

This shloka describes the result of Karma Yoga. 'Naishthiki shanti' — unshakable, lasting peace — comes from letting go of the fruits of action. Tradition holds that attachment is the root cause of bondage, not action itself. Keep acting; release the attachment.
