Water takes the shape of whatever vessel holds it. Krishna says something equally generous here: however a person comes to Me, I meet them in that very way. The devotee who comes with love receives love. The seeker who comes through knowledge receives clarity. The one who serves receives grace through action. No door is wrong.

All human beings, in all their different ways, are walking on Krishna's path. Some realize it, some do not. Some walk directly, others take winding roads. But every sincere approach reaches the same destination. This is one of the Gita's most inclusive declarations.

This shloka signals that all paths of devotion — gyana yoga, bhakti yoga, karma yoga — ultimately lead to the same goal. Krishna does not confine Himself to one form or one method.

Tradition has long cited this shloka to explain why so many different forms of worship exist within the Hindu tradition. Each is a valid way of approaching the same reality.
