For the self-realized person described in 3.17, there is nothing left to achieve. Doing something gains nothing. Leaving something undone loses nothing. This soul is complete. It does not depend on any being — not for praise, not for support, not for validation.

This is the highest form of freedom. No craving pulls this person toward action. No fear pushes them away from it. Among all the beings in the world, they have no hidden agenda, no selfish motive. Their inner state is one of total fullness. Whatever they do, or choose not to do, arises from that completeness.

This expands on 3.17. The qualities described here closely mirror the sthitaprajna (one of steady wisdom) described in Gita 2.55 through 2.72.

Gita 6.32 also describes this state: the sage who sees the Self in all beings and all beings in the Self.
