The chapter closes with Krishna's grand declaration. I am the foundation of Brahman. I am the resting place of immortality, of the imperishable. I am the ground on which eternal dharma stands. And I am the source of absolute, undivided bliss.

In the previous shloka, Krishna said that bhakti is the way to transcend the gunas and become fit for Brahman. Now He reveals why bhakti works: because He Himself is the very foundation that Brahman rests upon. He is the source behind the source. Devotion to Krishna is not a detour to liberation. It is the most direct path, because the destination and the object of devotion are one.

"Aikantika sukha" — exclusive, undivided bliss — is a striking phrase. The pleasures of the world are partial, temporary, and often mixed with anxiety. The bliss that rests in Krishna is complete, unchanging, and without end. Every passing joy is a faint echo of that original fullness.

With this shloka, the fourteenth chapter, Gunatraya Vibhaga Yoga, comes to a close. Its arc is complete: Prakriti's three gunas bind the soul, but through unwavering devotion those bonds dissolve, and the soul reaches Brahman, whose very foundation is Krishna.

The next chapter (Chapter 15, Purushottama Yoga) will describe the cosmic tree of samsara and reveal the supreme person (Purushottama) who stands above both the perishable and the imperishable.
