Hanta — a warm, affectionate word. It means something like: alright then, very well. The way a grandparent might respond to a child's eager request — with a smile and a soft yes. Arjuna asked three times. Krishna responds with hanta — accepted.

But Krishna sets expectations honestly. My expanse has no end. What I am about to tell you are the principal examples, not the complete list. This honesty is itself remarkable. The divine acknowledges that a full description of its own manifestations is beyond words. The same point will return in 10.42, the chapter's final shloka.

This is the shloka where the vibhuti catalogue formally begins. Shlokas 10.1-18 were the introduction. Shloka 10.19 opens the door, and 10.20-42 will walk through it.

The word pradhanyatah (principally) is a signal: these are selected highlights. The divine manifestations are infinite and cannot be fully enumerated.
