The chapter closes with its destination clearly marked. Those who use the eye of knowledge to see the difference between the field and the knower of the field — and who understand how living beings can be freed from the grip of Prakriti — they attain the Supreme.

'Gyana-chakshusha' — the eye of knowledge. Ordinary eyes see the body. The eye of knowledge sees the soul. When that inner eye opens, the distinction between matter and consciousness becomes as vivid as daylight. And with that vision comes the highest attainment: the Supreme itself.

This is the closing verse of Chapter 13. The entire chapter's journey arrives at its fruit here: distinguishing the field from its knower through the eye of knowledge leads to the Supreme.

In the Gita Press edition, this is the thirty-fourth and final shloka. Some traditions count this verse as 13.35, as verse numbering varies across editions.
